        Chopped strand mats are made of 50mm long chopped strands, which are randomly dispersed and bonded together by powder or emulsion polyester binder.
     
        Chopped strand mats are mainly used in FRP fields, such as hand lay-up process, filament winding process, centrifugal casting process, molding process and so on.Chopped strand mats are mainly used on automotive interiors, transformer insulation materials,sanitary ware, chemical anti-corrosion pipes, tanks, ships,seats, building components and other products,chopped strand mat has excellent mechanical properties,resistance to processing and process suitability.

Product production process:

        Assembled E-fiberglass continuous strand rovings are chopped to much many 50 mm length strands, and then these fiberglass chopped strand are dispersed onto a moving conveyor randomly. When they are passed under the binder equipment,  the powders fall into them or the liquid emulsions spray into them, next them are passed large dryer, need drying,cooling and so on process,thus these chopped strands are bonded together by either a powder binder or an emulsion binder. Thus them are becomed fiberglass chopped strand mat, then them are trimmed and rolled.

Packaging & Shipping

Packaging:

        The fiberglass chopped strand mat is rolled into a roll,every roll is tied by a white plastic rope and placed
into a plastic bag, next them are placed into a paper tubes, A paper tubes with a roll can be vertically or
horizontally placed onto a pallet. A paper tube with a roll is sticked a label. All paper tubes with a roll
are wrapped up by a stretch film and sticked by a shipping remark. All paper tubes with a roll on a pallet are
tightly tied by packing belts and buckles.  For transportation, all pallets of paper tubes with rolls are
loaded into a container.

 

Storage:

        The chopped strand mat should be stored in a dry, cool and water-proof area. It is recommended that the
storage place's temperature and humidity should be always maintained at 15 celsius~35 celsius and 35 percent
~65 percent respectively. It is best that it is used within 12 months after production date. The fiberglass
chopped strand mat should remain their original packaging until it is used by customer.
