Chopped strand mats are made of 50mm long chopped strands,which are randomly dispersed and bonded together by powder or emulsion polyester binder. Chopped strand mats are mainly used in FRP fields,such as hand lay-up process,filament winding process,centrifugal casting process,molding process and so on.Chopped strand mats are mainly used on automotive interiors,transformer insulation materials,sanitary ware,chemical anti-corrosion pipelines,tanks,ships,seats,building components and other products,Chopped strand mats has excellent mechanical properties,resistance to processing and process suitability.

Production discription:
Chopped Strand Mats are non-woven fabrics consisting of randomly distributed chopped strand held together with a powder or emulsion binder.Chopped Strand Mat is compatible with unsaturated polyester ,winyl ester,epoxy and phenolic resins.The products are most widely used in hand lay-up process and can also be used in filament winding,compression molding and continuous laminating processes.The typical end-use applications include various panels,boats,FRP roofing sheet,Automotive parts,bathroom equipment and cooling towers.
Production Feature:
1)Uniform density ensures mechanical properties of the composites products. 2)Excellent flexibility ensures good moldability with no spring-back at sharp corners. 3)Fast and comsistent wet-out speed in resins and rapid air release reduce resin comsumption . 4)The composite products have high dry and wet tensile strength and good transparency.
Packing and storage
Each product is wound onto a paper tube which has an inside diameter of 76mm.The roll outside diameter is approximately 275mm.Each roll is wrapped up in plastic film and then packed a cardboard box.The carton are stacked horizontally or vertically onto pallets.All pallets are stretch wrapped and strapped to maintain stability during transport. Unless otherwise specified ,chopped strand mats should be stored in a cool,dry,water-proof area.It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity be always maintained at 15ºC to 35ºC and 35% to 65% respectively .
